NPC RPers

NPC RPers are members who role-play NPCs (non-player characters). These include shop keepers, Ministry workers etc.

Information for general members

Requesting an NPC RPer

If you need an NPC response somewhere, post a link to your thread in the Need an NPC board. An NPC RPer will respond as soon as possible.

The Headmaster, Professor Spriggletuft, is role-played by Admin. Please submit a ticket via the support/enquiries site to request a reply.

Identifying NPC RPers

NPC RPers are members of the NPC RPers user group. The icon displays below their name next to their posts.

NPC RPer Responsibilities

NPC RPers are expect to:

• be online at least three times a week
• check the Need an NPC board regularly for new NPC requests
• role-play NPCs in a consistent manner (a list of NPCs and their characteristics etc is maintained on the NPCs page

Claiming a thread

Once someone has requested an NPC in the Need an NPC board post a reply so they now you have taken the thread, then begin RPing with them. You should also edit the initial request post to include 'RESPONDED' at the beginning of the subject - that way at a glance other NPC RPers can tell which threads have been taken without having to actually read the thread.

After you have claimed a thread, it is your responsibility until the thread is finished.

The Characters

A list of NPCs who have already been used can be found on the NPCs page. As you use a character, feel free to update their description with any characteristics/descriptions etc you have developed.

The NPC characters will be used by all of you. Someone might RP a particular shop keeper one time, and someone else might do that character the next time. It is important to maintain the character information pages so that role-playing is kept as consistent as possible.

Headmaster - Professor Spriggletuft

The Headmaster, Professor Spriggletuft, is RPed by Admin. If a request for him is posted in the Need an NPC board, please notify Admin. Do not role-play the headmaster.

Subscribing to threads

To keep track of the threads you have replied to, and so you know when the other member has replied, please subscribe to thread notifications. Simply click the 'NOTIFY' link in the top-right corner of the thread.

You can view a list of the threads you have subscribed to in notifications and emails section of your forum profile.
