HPHaven History

The Original HPH

Harry Potter Haven began in March 2003 as a general Harry Potter fansite. The original site included Harry Potter downloads, including games, backgrounds and ringtones, as well as Harry Potter news articles, reviews and film photos.

The RPG

In 2005, to drive more traffic to the site, a forum was added allowing visitors to role-play at Hogwarts. The first account, the Admin account, was created on August 23, 2005.

Initially running the phpBB software on a free web server, HPHavenRPG now runs on the SMF forum software. The site has also had several changes in web host to accommodate for growing traffic demands and found a permanent home with its own domain name (harrypotterhaven.net) in 2008.
