While the markup language used in the wiki is different to the forum markup, you'll find a number of forum codes do work here. The following codes are available for use:

Headings

Pages should be structured using headings. Headings are marked with a preceding exclamation mark !

Headings are formatted based on their level. Top level headings begin with a single exclamation mark, second level headings begin with two exclamation marks and so on.

Using headings in this manner ensures all pages have a consistent appearance, and the table of contents will display correctly.

New pages

To create a new page, you should first find an existing page that will link to your page. Then, to create the new page you simply link to it! This might seem a bit backwards, creating a link to something that doesn't exist, but when you follow the link you will be prompted to create the new page. Note that this should be created using the Wiki markup for links, and not using BBCode. The appropriate format is as follows:

[[PageName]]

The link will be displayed using the page title by default. To display the link using different text, insert the pipe character | after the link and specify the new name, as follows:

[[PageName|link display text]]

Edit password

Unfortunately to prevent spam the wiki is password protected. In order to edit a page, you must provide the password which is sherbetlemon

Any page with a URL beginning http://wiki.harrypotterhaven.net/Main/..... can be edited using this password. Some other pages, such as the site rules, are further protected and can only be edited by Admin.
